It's a good practice that you double check for duplicate places once you added a new place into Locationary. Yes, there's already a built-in duplicate checks in Locationary during the place addition process but sometimes the system took a long time checking and you thought that the place you're currently adding is totally new and there's no existing place with similar name and address.
To double check for duplicates:
1. Once your "new" place is added, click the "Find Dupes" link on the newly created place page (see graphic image below this text explanation). If there's no potential duplicate listed then you're alright. Congrats for successfully adding a new place.
2. If there's a duplicate, click the "Shares" link located at the topmost portion of Locationary webpage.
3. Find your newly added place and click the "Delete Place" button corresponding to that place.
Correcting your own duplicate places will help you avoid stiff penalties.
