One way to check for Place Status if it's Open for Business or not is to personally call the place. Most of the time the telephone number of the place is already entered into Locationary's place database.

Be polite in calling. You can ask for the place's business hours if you like.

If the place is located in the USA or Canada, you even not need to leave your PC. You can utilize Google Gmail's Call Phone services to call US and Canadian business/places for free. (Click HERE for Google Gmail's Call Phone)
