Adding Foursquare data into Locationary
Foursquare data is one of the high value data in Locationary (see image below). You will earn 4,000 tickets and 2 shares by adding the Foursquare link into Locationary
I follow the procedure outlined below in adding Foursquare links into Locationary. Refer to the image below.
- Go to foursquare.com
- Enter your search terms ("hotel" in the example)
- Establish your search location (for example "Miami, Florida")
- Then you will get a result list of "hotels" located in "Miami, Florida"
- Browse the result list one by one. You will cross reference it in Locationary later
- Right click on one location name ("Epic Hotel" in the example) and choose the "Copy Link Location" option
In Locationary, go to "Find a Place to Update" page.
- Enter the location name you found in Foursquare ("Epic Hotel") and also enter the place location ("Miami, Florida, United States")
- You will get a search result list. If the place name and address matches then it's the same location/place. You got a location match. NOTE: You can try adding the place if it's not in the result list.
- Right click on the matched link and open link in a new tab
In the new tab showing the place information data, paste the Foursquare link you earlier copied in the proper field.
- Click "SAVE" and Foursquare data is added to Locationary system.
- You will get 4,000 tickets and 2 shares in each successful add.
- Repeat on each location/place found in Foursquare. 25 places updated will give you a total of 100,000 tickets and 50 shares.

How to earn rewards, shares, tickets, cash in locationary.com
The most basic way to earn tickets in locationary.com is to "Add a Place". My favorite way though is "Find a Place to Update". Both options is available from the "Earn Rewards" tab as shown below:
In "Add a Place", just provide the Country, State/Province, City, Place Name and Street Address (see image below) and after completing and submitting it, you will earn shares and tickets. Just hope that nobody added that place beforehand. :) It's against site rules to add a place/location that's already existed in the system.
You can get/verify data for a certain place from the following example websites:
- http://www.superpages.com
- http://maps.google.com
Any place that has a name and address can be added.
The tickets you earned will be used in bidding for cash prizes. There's a cash bidding in almost every minute. Cash prize for a certain bidding could be $25, $10, $5, $1, $0.50, $0.25 and $0.10.
You can only bid if your tickets is 25,000 or more. The tickets in excess of 25,000 base number will be used in the bidding. I suggest you accumulate a minimum of 50,000 before you join a bidding process.
You win the cash prize for a particular bidding if you're the highest and last bidder. Now you start accumulating dollars which you can cash out later to your Paypal account.
Isn't it fun trying to outbid other members? :)

I recently stumble locationary.com in one board discussion forum on the net. I got interested about the site after reading some good feedback. The site's objective is to provide a central database for all data about all existing places (locations) all over the world which is a very good objective.
